Akil A. Patel, D.D.S., P.C. : Before and After Photos

My two daughters both got married within the last two years. While preparing for the first wedding, I noticed advertisements in bridal magazines for the "Snap-on Smile". That sounded intriguing to me since I've been self-conscious about my teeth for a long time. I didn't pursue the "smile" then because I didn't know of anyone in the area who could do it and I assumed it would be expensive (who needs another expense at wedding time!). Well, we got the wedding pictures back. I was so consumed with not showing my teeth when I smiled that in all the pictures I looked like I didn't even want to be there! Needless to say, all the "Mom" wedding pictures are at the back of the album!

When wedding number two came around I thought about the "Snap-on Smile" again. I still was hesitant, but on my next visit to Dr. Patel I asked him about it. He had an idea what I was talking about, and the girls in the office jumped in to help explain since they had also seen it in magazines and on television. It was only about six weeks before the wedding and we weren't sure if that was enough time, but Dr. Patel contacted the lab, got the information and we were ready to proceed. It only took two visits. On the first visit Dr. Patel took impressions of my teeth along with lots of photographs of my bite and smile so the lab could create a natural look. Three weeks later, the office called to say my "smile" arrived. I made an appointment to try them on. Dr. Patel handed them to me and explained how to "snap" them on. I put them on and they fit like a dream! No adjustments were necessary at all. They go on easily and stay securely in place. I didn't have any worry at all about them coming off. They looked so natural and made such a difference in my smile! No one at the wedding knew they weren't my real teeth. Even the few friends and family I told didn't realize I was wearing them until I asked what they thought! That was the greatest compliment. The wedding pictures are back and this time I look like I'm enjoying myself! I can't get over how natural they look! Since the wedding, I have worn them to special events with friends and even to the office. Each time I get compliments on my eyes, or my hair, or people ask if I have new glasses--no one realizes that it's the "Snap-on Smile" that's making the difference and that's the best compliment of all!
